Hello,

I know this already happened to someone in the past, but I am now in the same boat, getting an AV as soon as I press the OCR button. This is the unmodified SimpleOCR C++ example.

See screenshot (just building 32bits app with C++ Rio).

Thanks
Claudio

Hi Claudio

Can you please download ImageEn 8.7.6 and IEVision 5.1.1 and try the updated demo.

Hi,

Yes. All relevant files are in the very same folder (exe, ievision.dll, eng.traineddata). However, in this case it does not matter. I tried to move the .traineddata outside the exe folder and the AV still happen.

Hi Claudio

Just to clarify, you are OCR'ing in "eng" language, and the file "eng.traineddata" is in the same folder as your EXE?

Thanks, the .traineddata file are present in the folder where the .exe is. Still, the exception comes up at the line OCR->recognize(image, IEVisionRect(0, 0, 0, 0), str);

Hi

Please check that the .traineddata files are included in the folder. You may need to copy them from the other OCR folder.

Or you can download other languages from:

www.imageen.com/download/

We will have an updated demo in 8.7.6 which checks for this.

Hi Nigel,

I tested only those in the demo folder.

Hi Claudio

Does it happen with all images, i.e. even the ones in \Demos\IEVision\OCR_C++
