Hello,

I have downloaded the precompiled DShowCap.exe which works as expected with the connected cam.

As soon as I compile the demo myself with Sydney & ImagenEn 9.2, I can't connect to the cam.

Interesting...After some tinkering I realized that the Kapersky Antivirus was the problem for my program.

If I switch of Kapersky I can connect to the cam with my self compiled program.

I assume ImageEn does use some certifikate for compiling?
Which one do you use or can you recommend - if that is really the issue?
Is there any other reason why your precompiled program works with Kapersky - mine not?

Best Regards,
Harald

Hi Harald

The lack of a certificate is the most likely reason an AV product would block an application from normal execution.

All our demos are Comodo signed with an OV certificate from:

www.ksoftware.net/code-signing-certificates/

It can be a headache to set up and renew (need to supply documents about yourself, etc). But is necessary for EXEs that you will distribute.

The only other possibility that comes to mind is some other package in Delphi that has affected the compilation of the demo (which seems very unlikely).
