The \IEVision\Demos\OCR demo works correctly either with or without existing selection.

Strangely, the following image text "Alan" is recognized only if the text "Alan" is SELECTED:

Hi Peter

Tesseract's OCR is designed for documents, so I expect the complexity of document confuses it.
