How to add Blur effect with trackbar amount. Help help help? Like brightness.

I tried adjusting the Blur with a trackbar, in response to this post, which works great the first time the trackbar position is changed, but subsequent changes of the trackbar position does not produce the correct blur. I tried undoing before applying the blur the second or third time, but undo and undorect does not restore the image to its original state. As a result each time you change the blur it magnified the blur even further.
