As far as I know, Adobe holds patents for both file formats. Do you have any idea if I can safely use ImageEN in a commercial application to save images as PSD or (LZW compressed?) TIF without patent infringement?

Posted - Jun 25 2013 : 08:06:44 TIFF offers the option of using LZW compression, a lossless data-compression technique for reducing a file's size.
