The manual just says that the parameters a, b, c and d are coefficients for each colour channel, but what do they each do and what are the range of values?

Thanks, this is what I had assumed. All I want to do is to radially stretch/compress the red and blue channels independently VERY slightly to correct chromatic aberrations. I was hoping you might be able to indicate what each parameter did and typical values to give a very small uniform radial stretch/compression.

Hello,
they are coefficients of the correction formula which maps pixels to new position.
You should find the empirically using the "radial" demo.
