Hallo,

I have a small application, build with an older Version of ImageEN. After installation of ImageEn 4.3.1, I recompiled the sources and
the EXIF-Information is missing.

Could you please give me a hint, what I can do.

TIA

Bernd

Hi Bernd

Please email me a few photos from the camera.

Hi Nigel,

the EXIF demo works fine with the pictures on hd (copied from the camera),
but with the pictures on the camera it does not work.
The picture is shown, but ImageEnView1.IO.Params.EXIF_Model is empty!

My App shows a treeview with the names of the images on the camera, when you select an entry a thumb is shown and pressing a button you can transfer this image to an ImageENView and the EXIF-Info is shown on a panel.

TIA
Bernd

Hi Bernd

How about if you run the EXIF demo, which is the folder:

\demos\InputOutput\EXIF\

(Below where you installed ImageEn)

Yes, that is exactly the fact.
I tested it with two different cameras on different computers, I don't get the
EXIF-Info, when I read from a camera. When I reload an old image from hd, the EXIF is shown.
The application build with the old ImageEN-Version shows EXIF.
I tested it on WIN7.

The whole situation :
- old application build with old ImageEN runs perfectly on WinXP
- old application build with old ImageEN runs with failures, but with EXIF on Win7
- old application build with ImageEN 4.3.1 runs small failures, without EXIF on Win7

Do you know a workaround or do you have any information that could do?

TIA
Bernd

Sorry, Bernd, can you be more specific?

Do you mean that when you load JPEG images with the new version your application no longer displays their embedded EXIF data?
