I have been using Delphi 5 for years decades. ImageEn works great with D5, even the latest version, but obviously some modern features of the Windows world (most particularly themes and gestures) are not available to the D5 product without 3rd party support.

I have been dismayed to find that Embarcadaro's pricing for the full XE7 is too high for my budget, but that a "Starter" Edition (which appears to have a RAD UI similar to D5) is available at an affordable price point.

Are there any consequences and/or limitations for ImageEn in an XE7/Starter Edition environment that I should be aware of before committing to the purchase? My stuff is all VCL.

Hi

Looking at the feature matrix:

https://www.embarcadero.com/fr/products/delphi/product-editions

It looks like the main deficit would be the lack of ImageEn database components.
