I am trying to merge a normal layer with a mask layer.

But ImageEn merges such two layers it will always convert mask layer to non mask layer and then it will merge the two layers.

What I want is, to keep the mask layer as mask layer and merge it with the other layer keeping all its effects intact.

Again LayersMergeAll is working expected but then to use it we will have to have only two layers in ImageEn.

 TIA

Thank you for offer to send in code patch.

But I think I would rather wait for the new version to get released. Which I hope is just round the corner...

Please email me for a fix which allows simpler merging of a layer with its mask (tested in the demo you sent me too).

Unfortunately ImageEn treats layer masks differently from regular masks. It is not well documented but I will improve this for the next release. I first want to investigate the best way to merge a layer and a mask with the developer of that code.

Yes that is it! I want to apply the Mask layer as transparency to associated layer.

But I don't understand as to why LayersMerge and LayersMergeAll behave differently. And to top it all this difference in behavior is not documented so I am a bit confused.

 TIA

Do you mean you want to apply marked areas of the mask layer as transparency to the associated layer?
