Posted - Feb 08 2017 : 15:31:56 Hi All,
We are using the current version of IEVision and we can OCR with many languages except for Arabic. When this method is executed with engine type Fast or Accurate an exception is raised.
result := IEVisionLib.CreateOCR(pAnsiChar(AnsiString(_OcrLangPath)), pAnsiChar(AnsiString(_OcrLanText)), IEVisionOCREngine);
Any thoughts?
Thanks Ron |

Tesseract 4.0 has new data files for all languages. We'll unit test them all when we implement 4.0.

Posted - Feb 13 2017 : 15:42:25 Hi
Yes, it seems to only work with Cube. I have re-downloaded the Tesseract OCR file for Arabic, but it does not resolve it.
We will be updating to Tesseract 4.0 shortly, so I expect that will resolve it.

Were you able to confirm this problem? |
rswyman@docuxplorer.com |
Posted - Feb 10 2017 : 07:10:23 you can use any file from the OCR demo, just include the ara.cube.* and ara.traineddata files and select Fast or Accurate. I send these files in a separate email. |
