Hi

I am obviously doing something wrong. I am using GDIPlus and Delphi Twain to aquire images.

and have recently bought the Image en Components , But the quality of the scans are vastly different.

GDIplus gives a much better quality with the same DPI 100X100 and G4Fax compression .

I am sure it is probably some setting in Image EN. I have enclosed the files in a Zip file.

regards
ettienne

Hi Etienne

The difference will be the resolution. The GDIPlus image has been scanned at 2585x3655, whereas the ImageEn one is 832x1176.

I'm not sure why both are reported as 100dpi, but 100dpi (40 pixels/cm) is low. Try scanning again at a higher resolution such as 300dpi:
