I'm seeing an increasing number of messages lately which claim that Dave Coffin has abandoned the development of DCRAW. In case these rumors are true: are there any plans to support other RAW decoders such as LibRaw for example? Camera RAW support is crucial for me.
Thanks Uwe |

So far we have added support for multi-shot raw file (IOParams.ImageIndex and IOParams.ImageCount) and RAW_Interpolation. We'll continue to release updates as ImageEn is updated, or if there are important changes to LibRaw. At the moment, we don't enable LibRaw, by default. We want to test it more first.

LibRaw is available in 7.5.0:
// Enable use of LibRaw IEGlobalSettings().UseLibRaw := True;

Posted - Sep 29 2017 : 10:17:04 Hi Nigel,
Good to know, thanks. There were a ton of new camera models released over the past year and quite a few of them are not supported by DCRAW anymore. You either can't develop them with the library, or the colors are completely off. Coffin hasn't worked on his code for almost one and a half years now, so it seems pretty obvious that he's lost interest.

We consider Camera RAW support very important too, so if DCRAW is discontinued we will investigate other solutions.
