Posted - Jan 12 2018 : 15:12:58 Hi,
We are new to ImageEn and relatively new to Delphi. We have RadStudio 10.2 Enterprise.
After installing ImageEn and opening one of your sample programs, the ImageEn directory and objects all appear in the Tool Palette and seem to function correctly - the programs compile fine as well.
However, if I use an existing project or start a new one, most of the objects are not visible in the Tool Palette (just 6 and they do not include TImageEnView).
I have restarted the computer and even removed and reinstalled ImageEn and it's still that way. I talked with Bill and he says it's not supposed to act that way.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you very much!! |

https://github.com/zhaoyipeng/FMXComponents https://github.com/ms301/FGX-FireMonkey (check out FlilpView) https://github.com/zhaoyipeng/graphics32-for-Firemonkey
http://www.pcjv.de/ (contact this person as he is an active contributor to GR32 and quite helpful also)
Now for disclaimer. I have never used any of what is suggested above as I use WinDev Mobile and B4X for all my Mobile based development. Have developed around 18 apps using these.

There are a number of unknowns at this point, but we are looking to release in the middle of 2018.

Posted - Jan 13 2018 : 15:15:35 Bill was extremely helpful. I really appreciated him working this out.
If you do make a FireMonkey version relatively soon, it would be nice for us. We are just looking for a high quality fast viewer and we don't need most of the features. If there is any chance of having one in the next 4 or 5 months it would work for us.
Do you have any idea of the time frame?
Thanks!! |

We're hoping to start working on a FireMonkey version before too long.

I resolved the problem for you. ImageEn was installed correctly in Delphi on the developers IDE. The problem was the developer set the default Target Platform to IOS, so when he created a new project or opened an IOS project, TImageEnView was not present in the component palette. The developer did not understand that ImageEn is not compatible with IOS. The novice Delphi developer was disappointed but at least he now understands that ImageEn is not compatible with IOS and he now understands why ImageEn does not appear in the Palette Toolbar for some projects.
Apparently this developer is looking to build a project that can be built with Delphi for Windows and IOS to view images. I do not develop for, nor have I ever built a project for IOS, so if anyone has any suggestions for a image component that works with Delphi and IOS to view high quality images please post a suggested link to a product that works with both.

Select Project > Options, then "Packages". Is ImageEn listed there and checked?
