Hi,

Does anyone have any experience scanning over a VPN? My customer has two network scanners, one on his local network and another at a remote location. He uses Remote Desktop over a VPN to connect to his server.

The remote network has a different subnet i.e. 192.168.3.x from his server 192.168.1.x

We would like to be able to scan in the remote location so the server would have to be able to detect the device remotely. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Matthew

Matthew

No particular configuration is needed. Just install HP Scanjet drivers and Scanner Tools Utility (standing to the N6350 user manual). ImageEn will see this remote device as local.
Of course the scanner must be connected to the ethernet switch or router directly.

Hi,
what scanner (model) has your customer?
