Hi,

In the past (ImageEn 6.3.2) we've added our own custom code to ImageEn to add a panning grip in the center and rotation grip on the outside of the active layer. This is a pain to keep working with the updates to ImageEn since it involves helper classes, RTTI and interposers to reach some of the internals of TImageEnView. While studying the update to 8.0.1 we saw the code for TIEUserInteraction. Would creating our own descendant of this be a viable solution to add the grips as shown below? Can you give us some pointers on how to get started with painting and drawing these?

Alternatively, would you be open to making more functions of ImageEn protected or even public / virtual?

Hi Nigel,

we will try to put something together today or tomorrow. We wanted to make sure that we have a working implementation of our adaptations on 8.0.1 and we have to separate out some our own object structures. In advance you could already take a look at the windows software for e.g. bonusprint.co.uk for designing photobooks.

kind regards,

Roald

Hi

Can you email me the list of changes you make to enable this functionality. Perhaps we can add it to the ImageEn source. They look like good features.
