Hello,

The subject say it all but let me explain in a bit greater details.

In older version of IE brushtool use to work on mask layer (not tested in 9.0) but in 9.1 brushtool tends to loose its orientation when a user tries to apply brush strokes to selected layer if that layer is a Mask Layer.

Even if we convert a Mask Layer to plain layer by setting its IsMask := False and Visible := True the brushtool is still not working properly.

I think it has got something to do with ie8g. Just my guess... because if we set the PixelFormat of concerned layer to ie8p or ie24RGB the brushtool starts working as expected.

Any idea as to how to solve this immediately.

TIA

Hello Nigel,

Can you tell me what you mean by "lose its orientation"?

Here I mean then if we paint on the left edge of the mask the strokes appear somewhere in the middle of the mask layer.

Can you please give us the update as our work is stalled without this?

TIA

Hi Yogi

I'm surprised that you were able to paint on the mask at all as the brush tool requires ie24RGB format.

I've just added support for other pixel formats now.

But that doesn't sound like the issue you are reporting here. Can you tell me what you mean by "lose its orientation"?

You might also want to email me to test this update, so we are not working at cross-purposes.
