Hello,

We are trying to load a PDF and perform OCR on it.

When we run the 64bit project we are getting error message:

A required library file (iepdf64.dll) was not found

I am attaching the screen shot here:

How to solve this problem.

TIA

Yogi Yang

Sorry, I see you mean when explicitly selecting the PDF file to load.

In 10.1.1 we will not offer PDF in the Open dialog unless a plug-in is available.

It's in 10.1.0. I can produce this error by compiling the CompleteEditor demo, running it, and trying to open a PDF.

What version of ImageEn is this? In 10.1.0 it should fail silently.

Nigel: A little more on this. I get the error when trying to open a PDF ... not in code (I've not tried this), but at runtime using the Open File dialog (via a call to ImageEnView.IO.LoadFromFile). I mention this because it seems that with IEVision installed, but not iepdf64.dll (or iepdf32.dll), the end user will be given the option to open a PDF (among other image formats) in an Open File dialog, but if they select a PDF, they will get this error instead of the PDF being opened.

General comment for others: iepdf32.dll and iepdf64.dll are in the ImageEn PDF Plug-In at www.imageen.com/download.

OK, good. The DLL will resolve it then.

Thanks Nigel.

After downloading the Plugin DLL it works properly.

Hi Yogi

iepdf64.dll can be downloaded from: www.imageen.com/download

But you should not see errors report for it unless you explicitly try to open a PDF file (which ImageEn cannot do without a plug-in).

What steps lead up to this error?
