but when developpers were able to get imageEn for free ( + source ) a few weeks ago, it wasn't possible to register ?
so by registered you mean people who paid for it ? before it was free for this period ?
Anyway, for now, it is not clear about the changes between the free and the new version.
If Only you were putting new things like support wic codec instead of dcrawlib which requires updates and doesn't have a proper white balance raw decoding ( at least for canon CR2 files )
We decided to move away from the free release of ImageEn because we wanted it to be better developed and supported (which is much easier to do for a product that pays towards your time).
As such we do not provide free access to ImageEn any more, but we do not prevent anyone who downloaded it while it was free from continuing to use the version they have, but of course they will need to pay for updates (which should be coming shortly).
Will next DCRawLib updates be included only for paying subscribers or will they be still available for free like before? I hope that we do not have to pay for dcrawlib but rather just for imageEn updates.
