"Highlight" object disappears after "CopyObjectsToBack" command

Why?
How to fix?

When you CopyObjectsToBack the object is merged into the bitmap and is no longer an "object". I suspect that only "objects" can be highlighted.

I appreciate your time in solving the "Highlight" object not sticking/saving with CopyObjectsToBack and saving to a IEV file when you return from your vacation.
