Hello all. I was wondering if anyone has created a vertical toolbar like Photoshop that house the common icons such as Brush, Bucket Fill, etc. Instead of reinventing the wheel, I would appreciate any recommendation or help in creating this vertical toolbar. Probably also a use of a docking panel system?

Thanking you all in advance.

Andy,

You should take a look at Expressbars by Developers Express. All you have to do is to drag the toolbar from its docked position so it is floating and add ButtonItems to the toolbar. Add some glyphs to a cxImagelist (Expressbars Image list) and set the image index for each of the buttons.

The toolbar can be automatically docked into the docked toolbars by dragging it to the top of the window or keep it floating but move it to any position on the screen. If you dock the 'tools' toolbar you can make it a floating toolbar by dragging it to a different window position.

Once you understand Expressbars it is a simple matter to make a floating toolbar.

Hi

Express Bars is good, but I can also recommend TMS Advanced Toolbar:
