Hello,
I just updated to new version of ImageEn 7.5.0.
But now my old project which is working properly in earlier version is misbehaving.
ImageEnMView is not loading image thumbnails. Instead it is showing all images as big question mark. What must be the problem?

In the same way when I am trying to load an Image in ImageEnView I get this error message:

I have installation of IEVision 3.0.8 but am not using it anywhere in the project.
The project is compiled for 64bit.
TIA

Hi Yogi and Bill,
Have not had any other reports of issues. Are you able to reproduce with any of our demos?

Nigel,
Getting same error messages even with the demos supplied.
I tried out Demos\Multi\Multiview by setting 64Bit platform and running the software.
The software started but it when we use Image->Load it gives error.
I compiled our software in 32Bit and everything works as expected.
TIA

Nigel,
Are there any chances to get an interim code patch till you release an update?
TIA

Hi
I cannot reproduce this issue under 32 or 64bit.
Perhaps when the ImageEn open dialog comes up, it is choking on displaying a preview of a file in that folder??? Are you able to supply an image that causes the issue?
Also, as Bill suggested, ensure the ielib64 or ievision64 DLL is in that folder and is version 4.0.0.

Hello Nigel,
Also, as Bill suggested, ensure the ielib64 or ievision64 DLL is in that folder and is version 4.0.0.
Unfortunately I am use one version old of IEVision. As my subscription has expired I am not able to upgrade to the latest version.
But still ImageEn should woke with older version also.
FYI I installed Delphi and ImageEn (I did not install IEVision) on a fresh PC and compiled the Demos\Multi\Multiview.
This is also giving same error. Again the error is not coming in the Open Dialog. It comes after we click on Open button.
- Open the Demo code in Delphi
- Add the 64Bit Platform
- Activate the 64Bit Platform
- Compile in Debut Mode (Ctrl + F9)
- Open Explorer and run the demo
- Click on File -> Open
- Select any Image File (I selected a jpg file)
- Observe that selected files preview is not showing in preview box in the open dialog
- Click on Open button
- Now you should see error
Please check this short video.

Nigel suggested, ensure the ielib64 or ievision64 DLL is in that folder and is version 4.0.0.
Your video shows that the dlls are are not present in the exe folder. If the ielib64.dll is placed in the exe's folder the open dialog should show the previed image. If the dll is not found you will always see the ielib64.dll not found message. So for now, try copying the ielib64.dll to the exe's folder and remove all references to ievision. If you do this you will be able to preview images in the file dialogs and load and save the images. If you do not do this there is nothing that can be done to solve the problem.

I have specifically stated that I have installed only Delphi and ImageEn which clearly means that I do not want to use IEVision at all so why should I required to install what I don't want to use.
From what Nigel stated and what you suggest it means that from now onward we have to also buy IEVision if we need to use ImageEn... ImageEn is supposed to be independent of IEVision.
TIA

I never suggested having to use IEVision. Anyway, I do not have it installed and my installed version works just fine with both 32&64 bit. No problems at all. I suggest you remove ImageEn and then reinstall it.

Hi Yogi
You don't need to use IEVision, you can use ielib instead. For 64bit apps, you need to have ielib64.dll in you path/exe folder.
