Hello we found some issues when drawing rectangular selections with rulers visible, we have an evident loss of performances, maybe due to a high amount of canvas redrawing.
We are using version 7.5.
Below we attached a test program.

I tested your demo and did not find that a loss of performance.

It is excessibly flashy, which we will need to fix. Though, I'm not seeing any performance issues, can you please clarify.

Try to use the clone stamp in that mode, it will be unusable, at least in my experience.

Can you describe what you are seeing?
Trying your demo there are no performance issues at all, just excessive flashing due to repainting (i.e. visual issues rather than performance ones). Also, performance of the clone tool does not seem to change when I hide the rulers.

My bad on the clone stamp. I was doing something wrong, sorry.
What about the redrawing issue, is there any update on this matter?

Yes, we have resolved the excessive flashing when the ruler is used in combination with selections. We still need to fix the clone flashing which we will do next week.
