I purchased ImageEn 5.2 about 3 years ago but I
need to use pattern matching function in IEVision 4.0
,but want to make sure about it 's compatibility before purchase.

No, I'm afraid not. The interfaces for IEVision are in ImageEn, so you need the current ImageEn to use the current IEVision.
