Hello,

The subject say it all.

I have IEVision 4.5.0. After updating IE to 8.1.1 I was not able to compile any software in which I have used IEVision.

I had to change the call to DLLLoadingLog() as following: IEGlobalSettings().DLLLoadingLog

But after that the compiled exe cannot find/load IEVision dll.

The log generated is:

IEVision Initialization...
X:\TestVerApp\ievision64.dll: 166461440
IEVision Version: 4.5.0.0
IEVision Create: ok
Version MISMATCH
IEVision Expected Version: 4.5.2.0
IEVision File Version: 4.5.0.0

What surprises me here is that IE is dependent on the latest version of IEVision. Actually it should not be dependent on the latest version of IEVision. It should work with old version also.

TIA

Hi Yogi

ImageEn 8.1.1 requires IEVision 4.5.2, because there new methods have been added that won't work with the older DLL.

Please email us for the latest version.

Alternatively, you can downgrade the version in the source code, which should work as long as you avoid any of the changed code.

Hello Nigel,

Ok that is fine.

I would request you to please mention the compatibility of IE with IEVision whenever you are releasing a new version of IE so that we know before hand as to what to expect instead of being surprised after up-gradation.

Regards,

Yogi Yang
