As part of our performance tweaking for 9.0.1, here are some summarized results of adjusting ThreadPoolSize.
This was tested on a decent spec machine loading folders of Camera Raw images, so performance will change between systems.
Unsurprisingly, disabling the threading completely gave the best performance, but this significantly locked up the UI. The sweet spot in our tests was around 10-20 threads.
