Hi everyone,
I’m using ImageEnView in Delphi and I want to display a live video stream via RTSP on it.
Example RTSP URL:
rtsp://username:password@192.168.0.73:8554/stream
I tried simply loading it like an image or using IO.LoadFromFile, but it doesn’t work, since ImageEnView seems to be for images, not video streams.
Questions:
Is it possible to display an RTSP video stream directly in ImageEnView?
If yes, which component or method should I use to attach the RTSP stream to ImageEnView1?
If not, what’s the best practice for combining ImageEnView PDF/image display with a live video stream in Delphi?
I’m looking for lightweight, native Delphi solutions, ideally without using external heavy frameworks.

I'm sorry RTSP is not supported at this time. If we get more interest in it, we will look into adding it.

I wanted to emphasize that RTSP stream support in ImageEnView is highly requested. Many users, including myself, are looking for the ability to display live video streams directly in ImageEnView, especially when combining it with PDF or image display.
Currently, this feature is missing, and it becomes particularly limiting when you want to integrate real-time object recognition or other live video processing alongside ImageEnView’s existing image/PDF capabilities.
It would be really great if the development team could consider adding RTSP support in a future update. This is something several people are asking about in the community.

Yes, we've only had 3 requests in 9 years and it is slightly outside the area of ImageEn, so I'd like to see more interest for us to investigate its inclusion.
