Hello;

In some way, this is related to a previos post I sent today. On one PC I have read for TWIAN sources, getting one TWAIN and one WIA for the same scanner. When I try to use the TWAIN one, MIO.Acquire stops the application and I have to kill it with task manager. And on the task manager I can't see any TWAIN running. But if I chose the same device with PDF24, it works fine, and also I can see it is opening a TWAIN process in the task manager. Pease see the attached images.

Is it something I missed? Thank you very much!.

Unfortunately we could not find a practical way to prevent ImageEn from freezing when a driver locks up.

It is freezing up in the driver (not returning to the application). We are currently investigating whether we can avoid this.

But what I can't understand is why your procedure is not raising the error so I can un-frezee my application. Now the only solution is to shuting down my application by windows taskmanager!!!. BTW, please take in mind that PDF24 and Windows can use that driver and it is working for them.

Hi

Unfortunately, I cannot see anything in particular here that would allow us to suggest a solution.

The driver is quite old (2013) and supports Twain 1.9, so it might be a compatibility issue. Unfortunately it is the last driver version released by HP...
