Hello,

This is very unusual problem that I have detected.

I have got two laptops.

One laptop is an old horse with Windows 7 64Bit while the other is a new one with Windows 10 64bit.

Both of them have Delphi 10 Seattle on them.

When I installed ImageEn 8.7.5 on the new laptop in gets installed properly and all its components are loaded in Tool Palette including new components like IEFolderTree, IEFileListBox, IEFolderWatch, IEFileDragDrop, etc.

But, but, when I install ImageEn 8.7.5 on the old laptop which has Windows 7 64Bit then all the new components that I have listed above do not get installed.

While installing ImageEn on old laptop I did not get any error messages.

I also do not get any error messages when starting Delphi on the old laptop after installing ImageEn 8.7.5 either!

So what must be the problem and how can we solve it?

On the old laptop I have office 2007 installed while on the new laptop I have office 2013 installed.

TIA

Hi Yogi

Those are all relatively new components, so I suspect your "old horse" has an old version of ImageEn lurking somewhere on the system.

Search for pkie*.* on that system, remove all that are found, plus any related ImageEn folders, then reinstall.

Hello Nigel,

I have done as per your direction but still the problem persist. So the problem is somewhere else.

Any other solution to solve this problem?

BTW my "old horse" is upgraded to 16 GB RAM and two SSD drives which are 1 GB each.

TIA

Hi Yogi

Add a TImageEnView to a form. Check the ImageEnVersion property. Is it 8.7.5 or an old version?

Hmm, that's odd. Please try compiling the components manually:
