Hello,

We have used the class/object TIEFileDragDrop in a few of our projects for supporting drag and drop of files from explorer. In our case it is working perfectly in version 8.6.x after installing the latest version of ImageEn which is 8.7.5 I am getting error at compile time.

I also installed 8.7.0 and the same compile time error also exist there.

What is the way to solve this problem?

Here is the code that I am using:

AFileDrop: TIEFileDragDrop;

AFileDrop := TIEFileDragDrop.Create(iemPhotos, DropFiles);

{ Do not explicity free the FileDrop object }
RegisterExpectedMemoryLeak(AFileDrop);

{ Activate dropping }
AFileDrop.ActivateDropping := True;

TIA

Hi Yogi

You need to add iexWindowsFunctions to your uses clause.

Hello Nigel,

We have been using this in ImageEn 8.6.x and it is working just great.

But do you mean to say that this class has been shifted to another module?

Hi Yogi

Yes, the class was moved when it became a component.

Hello Nigel,

Thanks for info.

I think you need to add this info under breaking changes section in help file.

TIA

Yes, that's true. I will do that.

TBH, I didn't think anyone was using the TIEFileDragDrop class.
